One tired baby!

Mckensie is able to get around the house these days. Usually she sits up, slides on her belly and sits up again. She does a great rock-a-baby also. I decided to try enticing her with showing her the bottle and putting it down a couple of feet away from her. Well it worked! Granted she doesn't really crawl with out a prize to go after.
She is learning new things everyday, which means so am I. I let her guide me through the house until she shows me what she wants. She has walked me to the kitchen for a bottle and to her bed for her pacifier and nap time. It amazes me how much she has changed in her talking, laughing, expressions, and communications. We love our little bubs!!

Mckensie loves her new jumperoo. When she is jumping she is all smiles. Then by the time she stops, which is when our camera is able to take a picture she is all serious business. She jumps and jumps until she is worn out. Only once have we let her jump until she fell asleep, she was not so happy when I took her out!

Sam picked out her little Adidas's outfit, so when he got home from his trip to Washington DC I made sure she was in it. She was super cute in it!!
You may be wondering what Sam has been up to lately. Well here are a few picuters of his weekend in Washington DC with the guys!

They all enjoyed the Boise State game. It took a couple of days for Sam to recoupe from all the yelling.

I love these little costumes. Don't you think Kensie would look super cute in them?
Mckenise is 6 1/2 months old, where did the time go? She is such a funny little girl. She pinches her lips together and makes funny noises. She said momma a little while ago, but she has no idea what she was saying.

Mckensie got her 1st tooth over a month ago, she has two bottom teeth and a moler which has been moving around for about a month now. I think she is working on the top teeth right now. She keeps biting me and anything she can get her hands on.

My sister in law gave us a jumper that hangs in the door. Kenise loves it, I love it also due to the fact it makes my hands free to do other things. She was getting tired of me putting her down while I did things around the house. Now she just jumps away in the jumper. We bought a Fisher Price Laugh and Learn jumperoo today. We tested out all the stationary jumpers at Bye Bye Baby and Babies R Us, it was the winner. I put it together and away she went jumping a eating the toys. It takes up a good amount of space. The smile on her face and the jumping she does makes the purchase well worth it!

Mckensie went on her first camping trip in Idaho. My parents brought along thier camping trailer and let us crash in it for the weekend. This very thoughtful and meant that we didn't have to rough the weather in a tent like my parents and siblings. It was rather cold in the evening and it rained very hard the first night... this was a big switch from the Texas heat. We loved seeing our family and having the cousins play with Mckensie. She was passed from one cousin to the next, each one wanting to hold her and have thier picture taken. My mom found Mckensie's first tooth, which explains her being a little more fussy than normal. Mckensie is a little trooper... she traveled well in the car and on the plane. Being gone for 11 days takes it's toll, so when we finally returned to Texas we took a few long naps to recover from all the action.
Sam, Mckensie, and I traveled to Oregon to spend time with family. We had an great time visiting with everyone and enjoyed the cooler Northwest weather. We went to the Oregon Coast, Portland Zoo, and one of the local parks.

It was Anna's first time in the pool... she did great! Mckensie loves the pool although the weather was a little cold for her and her parents!

We spent time with Adam, Audrey, Ken, and Susie at the Oregon Coast. It was Mckensie's first time to see the ocean. She watched the waves crash and enjoyed sleeping in the car along the way.

We put Mckenise a swing for the first time to see how she liked it. She seemed a little confused... maybe next time!

Sam's mom was super nice and made Mckensie and I pioneer costumes. I am still waiting on the picture that had me in it but for now this one will do..She also made matching outfits for Mckenise and her cousin Lucy..Maya had her costume from last year. Both Maya and Lucy did great in their photo opp.. Mckensie on the other had was quite cranky!!

We took Mckensie to the pool the last week.. From the pictures it shows she wasn't super excited about it, but really her little feet were moving and a grooving.. She loves bath time and as we go more and more she is going to love the pool!!

Mckenise is pretty serious most of the time, but on occasion she will just brighten ones day with all her smiles..I just love to see her laugh and giggle..

Here are a bunch of random photos from May, June and July.. My computer has had a virus and so I have not been up to posting the current photos until now..
Look at those little chubby hands.. so kissable.. love this little girl!!
Mckensie likes to sit in her new Bumbo and watch me cook.. I have to keep a close eye and be ready if she gets antsy, she likes to wiggle around sometimes..
So I gave this little girl a mohawk.. I couldn't resist, it was super cute!! Sam says she has tennis ball head..her hair is quite fuzzy..
Our little one just turned 4 months old.. Boy does time fly or what!! She went in for her shots today, don't think I will ever get used to watching my little one get those. She has certainly filled out.. She is now in the 25th to 50th percentile.. What a leap from 2 months ago being in the 3rd.. She has some chubs, gotta love it!!
This is our little traveler. So far we have flown to Denver and made a connection to Salt Lake and drove to Idaho. Mckensie only cried in the car when it was time for her to eat, she slept the other times.

We stopped in Pocatello to see my sister and her daughter Daisha along the way to my parents.

Here is a picture of me and my baby on mothers day.. she was super sweet and Sam was amazing, it was a great day!

In April we had Mckensie's blessing. Sam's mom made the beautiful blessing dress. She put a lot of time and love into her dress, it was perfect!

In April Sam's mom, dad, brother Adam, and friend Rick came to Austin.. We went to the Salt Lick and out to see the bat bridge.. It was a fun time hanging out with everyone!

Here are our niece and nephews that live in Austin.. Maya, Mason, and Simon..Chris and Natalie have been great to let us hang out with their little ones.. soon Lucy will be joining this gang.. we are super excited!!

Sam loves to take pictures of Mckensie sleeping here are a few for you all to see!

So Mckensie hit her 2 months and has started to smile and laugh everyday..she sure makes us smile..she is super sweet and lovable!!

We took Mckensie for a walk yesterday on the gravel trail by our house. These are the photos of the wild flowers along the trail.

Mckensie is growing so fast.. The one good part of that is that she is getting pinchable cheeks.. She is a joy to both her dad and I..
